Saint Emilion Grand Cru
In the 50s, Clos des Menuts, had only one hectare. Today, it covers 25 hectares situated near the fortification of the medieval city, mainly in the west of the town. Located in the heart of Saint Emilion, Clos des Menuts has beautiful medieval monolithic cellars at a constant temperature of 12 °. There is a reign of religious atmosphere prior to ageing of these great wines in oak barrels. In 1978, there were lots of renovated facilities outside the village.
Clos des Menuts, the flagship of the Riviere brothers, is the experimental laboratory of all properties. In 1997, Clos des Menuts enjoyed hand-picked harvesting into small crates which will later be applied to all operations. Rational culture was widespread in 2001 throughout Clos des Menuts and started to apply to other properties.
Clos des Menuts Saint-Emilion offers an ageing potential wines both full-bodied with a rich, delicate and a long finish.
