Excellence Clos des Menuts 2008 - 90/100 This broad, fleshy red offers generous helpings of plum, anise, graphite and espresso flavors, harmonious and direct. There's plenty of tannins, but the palate is fleshy and approachable. A big wine, with room to grow. Drink now through 2018. 1,000 cases made. –TM
Excellence Clos des Menuts 2009 - 90/100 Lush, but nicely defined, with lovely plum, black currant preserves and macerated fig fruit coursing along graphite and spice bread notes. The long finish has nicely integrated grip. Drink now through 2018. –JM
Excellence Clos des Menuts 2010 - 90/100 There's a flattering feel to this, with very polished structure and lush plum sauce and fig fruit, with some singed cedar and tobacco notes filling in on the finish. Best from 2014 through 2022. – JM

"C'est un vin aromatique attrayant, plein de fruit et aux tanins souples. On n’y trouve un élément très juteux mélangé au fruit noir du cassis d’une sensation de fraîcheur. Le vieillissement en barriques ajoute un touche épicée. Un vin agréable à boire maintenant."
